Full Name: Jasmine "Jazz" Morgan
Age: 15
Grade Level: Sophmore
General Appearance: Jazz is small and thin, only 5'3". She has light skin, and doesn't tan easily. She has shoulder lenghth dark brown hair that sometimes looks black. She usually has it streaked with some color or other, currently blue and purple. She is athletic, and enjoys playing sports, but doesn't often, as she has problems with team work and can be overly competitive.
Her favorite thing about her appearance is her eyes. They are grey, varying in shade depending on her mood and the lighting. They rarely ever reveal how she is feeling and what she is thinking, unless you know her very well.
She dresses in dark colors most of the time, typically black or brown. She usually wears dark eye makeup to make her eyes stand out more than they already do. She likes watches a lot, and often wears many at one time, accompanied by numerous braclets. Some people think this is because she cuts herself. It's not true. She just thinks it looks cool.
Picture: None.
Celebrity: None.
General Personality: Jazz has never been one to follow the crowd. She likes being different and being the leader. She does not like being told she's wrong, being told what to do, or being treated like she's stupid. She hates most people and prefers to be alone. She does occasionally enjoy hanging out with a small group of close friends. Unfortunately, this is a problem, because she does not make friends easily and the friends she does make usually don't hang around very long. She is not inclined to trust people. She judges heavily on first impressions and almost always thinks the worst until proven otherwise.
She has a terrible temper and can get angry at almost anything. Or at nothing. She will not hesitate to hurt you if she feels you deserve it. Or if it just sounds like fun. She is not a fun person to be around when she is angry. Or ever, really. She is very competitive and likes a challenge. She will rarely back down from a fight. She is not easily scared or intimidated. Usually she is the one doing the intimidating.
Despite all her personality flaws, she can still be a relatively nice person, when she wants to be. To her closest friends (of which she's only ever had one) she is incredibly loyal and actually a pretty cool person. Mostly.
Jazz can be whatever she needs to be at any given time. She is an excellent liar and she knows it. Most people can never tell what she is really thinking. She will say one thing to your face and another behind your back and never think twice about it. She is not prejudiced against anybody. She hates everyone equally. And she can hold a grudge for a very long time.

Family/History: Jazz is the youngest of 3. She has a brother two years older and a sister one year older.
When she was 8, her father left. No one would ever tell her why. Her parents had always gotten along very well. Of course, they fought sometimes, but never stayed angry very long. One night, she woke up around midnight to the sound of her parents yelling at each other. She had never heard them like that, and it scared her. When she got up in the morning, her father was gone and her mother was a wreck. She never saw him again. He tried several times to get in touch with her several years later, but she didn't want to see him.
After her father left, her mother changed completely. She cried all day and drank at night. Jazz and her two siblings were left on they're own, pretty much. Her mother eventually stopped crying all the time, but never stopped drinking. Things were never the same, and Jazz hated her for everything that had happened.
Three years ago, Jazz's sister committed suicide. No one knew why, as she always seemed totally fine. Jazz blamed their mother. Jazz's brother was the only person in her family that Jazz was really close to. He did not go to Affintas, however. He was allowed to stay at home and go to school there. Jazz was always getting in trouble, and her mother got tired of dealing with her.
Sample Role Play: (Taken from a Harry Potter role play)
That day was the absolute worst day of Chess's life. No doubt about it. The very worst. Even worse than the day she got the letter that told her that she would never see her mother again. Even that terrible day when she thought she would die on the spot, that her heart would just rip from her chest and shatter to a million pieces. That day when all she wanted was to go hide and never come out and talk to people again. She just wanted everything and everyone to go away and leave her alone in her misery. No, even that day could not compare to this. The first day of summer vacation. The day she arrived home and saw what had become of her father.
She had been dreading going home for quite a while now. Anything had to be better than going back to the house that would never again quite seem like home. But the actual reality of it was so much worse than she could ever have imagined. Her father simply sat in his favorite chair, in the dark, and stared blankly at the wall. At first, she thought he might be dead too. "Dad?" she said softly. No response. "I'm home." she said. As if that wasn't obvious. She was talking to him, of course she was home. But at least if finally got an answer. That's nice. But the tone of his voice clearly indicated that he didn't care.
He looked as if he hadn't eaten in weeks, but judging by the empty dishes scattered about, he had been eating quite a bit. Ordinarily he was so energetic. Always passionate about whatever project he was working on and eager to tell her all about it. It actually got annoying sometimes. But now... nothing. Chess looked around and noticed that everything was a complete mess. Random things had somehow ended up in strange places. And her favorite picture of the three of them was smashed on the floor.
Chess looked through the mail briefly and discovered why her father was sitting in the dark. The electricity had been shut off. Chess went to her room and closed the door. She sat on her bed in the dark and tried to figure out what to do. But nothing came. She couldn't think, could barely breathe. It was all too much. She hadn't expected this. And now she just felt empty.
From that moment on, Chess knew that things would never be the same. Not in a million years.

((I sort of combined Family and History, because they are pretty closely related in this case. I hope that's ok.))
